Bringing an Ethiopian Baby Home

I have been following a friend's blog for quite some time now and feel a pricking at my heart to share their adoption story and needs with you. I knew this couple back when I worked at Camp BaYouCa and they are God-fearing individuals who desire to fulfill the James 1:27 calling.......

"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world."

Jim and Tiffany Darling have been called to adopt from Ethiopia. So far, they have been able to pay for their adoption in cash and their ultimate hope is to continue on that path rather than taking out a financial loan. But, they have not been able to do it alone. They have held garage sales, fundraisers, and even sold their own belongings just so they could bring their little boy home. And every time the next installment of their adoption fees came due, God provided the money through compassionate people who have been willing to contribute to their cause.

There a few ways you can help:

1. Buy coffee! If you are a coffee drinker, would you be willing to start buying from this site? Your coffee purchases can help support the Darling family.

2. Buy a T-shirt! These t-shirts were designed by Jim himself and are pretty cool! I even have one myself! You can purchase one here.

3. Participate in their current fundraiser! Right now, Tiffany is selling off her Coach bags. For a $10.00 donation, you can be entered to win these gently used items. Check out the details here.

If you decide not to participate in any of these donation opportunities, would you please commit to praying for this family? Their little boy needs to get to the United States as fast as he can so he can receive some much needed medical attention. You can read all about the adoption process on her blog, A Moment Cherished. I encourage you to follow her too. You will be very blessed!
