My decorations are on display....... (Amidst a wall I still have yet to change.......:) )
....my goodies are baked and eagerly awaiting consumption.......
.....my gifts are completely wrapped and packed for their prospective celebrations......
.....yet I keep coming back to this.....

I've been doing an advent activity this year with my kids. Each morning they open the advent box and find a little goody and then we read a verse or two or three of the Christmas story. The kids have really enjoyed the activity and it has been a great tool to continually remind their little hearts of the real reason we celebrate Christmas.
And I have really enjoyed reading the verses too. I think it is the first time that I've ever gone through them slowly. Usually I read the entire passage at once, but it has been nice to do it slowly and remember little details of the story that I haven't concentrated on before.

@Melissa - That sounds like a really awesome idea! I love that it keeps the Christmas story in the front of their minds every day leading up to Christmas!
